Days Passed: 9
- During the fight the Party noticed that a porcelain doll was watching them from the tree
- Defeated the Zombies in The Tattered Sail
- Talked to Heather and learned more about the nature of the strange tree
- The also learned that there's an army headed towards Abysra comprised of Kobolds and Members of a dark druidic circle called The Sanguine Order. Heather then requested that the party let her live and she'd be welling to divulge more information, which they did.
- The party Destroyed the power source sustaining the tree causing it to start to die
- The party left the burning city and met back up with the Guard captain Alistair and proceeded to inform him of the attack and then suggest they flee into the Dwarven Territories for refuge.
- After hearing the party out Alistair agreed citing that the armories and storehouses used by both the militia and the Free Holds military have been corrupted by the Sanguine Order in a similar manner to The Tattered Sail
- Before the Party Left, Alistair requested that they go to Argent and relay what had happened and the possibility of an impending attack by a small army
- The party decided taking on this mission was in their best interest and agreed to Alistair 's request. he then gave the his signet ring as validation of their (honestly kinda crazy sounding) story
- The party met back up with Heather and she told the Party what she could about the leader of this (very small) army. His name is Sivath and apparently he's a young gold dragon with an unnatural desire to learn forbidden magic. He was also the one to trap Heather in her current form after stabbing her in the back. Training him was a mistake that even she admits that she should have saw this coming.
- The party then came to the realization that they needed horses, unfortunately most of the stables in town have either went up in flames, were empty due to people leaving, or empty from horses escaping the blaze. so they needed a plan.
- The plan they settled on was Horse theft from the village that Asher and Brelor stole the guards wages from as well as Malik's emergency supply of healing potions and wands.
- While attempting to scout the Village, which they became distrustful off, Asher was spotted by a patrolling guard. After coming to the conclusion that he was acting shady the guard whistled for backup and was promptly murdered by Asher, and then brought back thanks to Tara.
- in the ensuing chaos that this causes, Brelor was able to steal 5 horses and saddles for all of them. Feras then started a controlled fire in the now abandoned stable Pasture and stopped the pursuit of Asher, while the guards dealt with the fire the party escaped with their ill gotten gains
- on their way to Varei, they party found an old birthing shed that has been abandoned for some time. they used it as shelter before moving on the next day
- for the next couple of days travel was uneventful, until one night when the party made camp Brelor heard a noise coming from behind a rock. When he investigated it he realized it was a dog... with two heads ... and a really bad attitude
- after the ensuing fight, the party found out more about their assailants. They're called death dogs and they carry a pretty nasty disease as Feras and Asher found out. They rushed to Varei the next day for healing.
- After getting healed, the party informed the authorities of what happened in Abysra. they stocked up on basic supplies and left for Delphra.
- While on the way there, the party encountered a group of skeletons, Skeleton Archers, and Skeleton mages. They were quickly dealt with.
- on arriving to Delphra they met with authority figures to inform them about the events of Abysra. The party then left for Argent
- After an uneventful journey, they arrived at Argent
- They met with charen, the minister of war for Argent and retold the story of Abysra being sure to include the part about an approaching army. He took the signet ring from the party and promised them a reward after he confers with the other relevant minsters. Until then the party was instructed to say at a nearby inn until contacted, which he said could take a few days.
- the party got a room at the nearby (upscale) inn and promptly decided to peruse the bounty board for quick cash (as curing the ailments of some party members cost the group around 600gp)
- The settled on pursuing (killing) a local group kobolds, which went pretty well all things considered.
- we left off with the party returning to Argent Battleworn and victorious over their bounty (they already got paid for it)
