Mounted Hawks

Domesticated versions of the Flame Hawks that are used by the Grenites on occasion in battle. Like all other Flame Hawks these are white feathers with brilliant red tips. They are usually adorned with ribbons and a harness.
These birds are common in the norther region of Alben they are aggressive though their are some that can manage to tame these beasts known as a Hawk Tamer these women are highly skilled not only in being able to tame these creatures, but also craft the gear necessary to ride them. They are very desirable for marriage, and a lot of times will marry widowers who are proven in battle yet they can be first wife.

Powered by the birds themselves and their great wings.

Weapons & Armament

While the birds themselves don't have any weapons on them other then their sharp talons and beaks, those riding the birds are usually carrying spears, or bows. And sometimes the saddles are fixed with a device to carry extra spears.

Armor and defense

It is rare that there birds have armor, though some of the best Hawk Tamers can craft leather armor that attaches to the underside of the birds.
