Albenites

Basic Information

Anatomy

These somewhat tall and lankly animals are, very distinctive by their unusual pigments in skin and hair which greatly contrasts with their eyes which lack much color. They have four limbs though are bipedal and rarely use their front limbs for walking, though they are great at climbing, as both their hands and feet have some grip to them though the hands are longer and better fit for holding on to things.

Genetics and Reproduction

They reproduce like most mammals, and the females carry the child for five months which is unusually short for a creature of their size.

Growth Rate & Stages

Albenites are conceited to be young until they are around thirty, though are fully grown by their mid twenties. Being capable of reproduction from their twentieth year until around the hundred and sixtieth though it is usually common around the age of sixty.

Facial characteristics

Their ears are very pointed and tall, the tips are just shorter then the tops of their heads. Their noses are small and nestled in between the two large yet pointed eyes. Their mouth is also normally quite small, though their eyebrows grow bigger if not plucked.

Geographic Origin and Distribution

They live though out all of Alben but are more common in the southern region. The two places where they are the most common are the Hill Lands and the Blue Forest.

Average Intelligence

They Albenites tend to be quite smart, though they are highly superstitious as a people, and deeply connected at nature.

Perception and Sensory Capabilities

They have small ears on their heads which are pointed and can be moved slightly to catch sounds better. Their nose is small and they have a limited since of smell, though there large eyes make up for it as they as they have excellent site, even in dim and dark places. The species used to be very inclined towards magic though after the Nelantus Explosion magic left them, and only a few are gifted with small gifts though even those are very weak.

Civilization and Culture

History

The people originated in the Hill Lands though the spread out to the south splitting into two main ethnicities the Alrites who stayed in the hills and have mostly remained to themselves, and the Albenis who moved to the Blue Forest where they made themselves at home in the tree growing to have a deep attachment to them. After the Nelantus Explosion most of the Alrites fled south though a few remain in Old Hill.

Compared to other species they are quite tall and light. Notable for how slender they are, as well as their long limbs.

Body Tint, Colouring and Marking

The distinctive color of the Albenites are what stand out the most to those who see them.

Eyes - The eyes are the one thing that are not colorful usually quite void of color actually, ranging from pure white to black. There is usually white around the iris of the eyes though not always.

Hair - Hair tends to be vibrant, blues, reds, and greens are common. Though any color can been seen.

Skin - Skin tend to be lighter in shade, similar to hair it can be any color though it is more muted then the vibrance of the hair.
