Here are the three Sages of Hulin, founders of the village and guardians of its future.   First amongst them, Aederuk, the incarnation of the Will. Second to him is Daguerron, the incarnation of Alacrity. Third in the council is Mediona, the incarnation of Temperance.   Together, they form the council that ensures the survival of Hulin and rules over justice.

Rebirth of the sages

In the early days of the Second Age, well before the Bright Age, well before the advent of the three kingdoms, the dwarves resided in peace under Aarun, biggest mountain of them all. Aarun was a great benefactor and offered many caves and resources for the dwarves to thrive and concentrate on their goal, the very reason for their existence. Aarun had one condition for their settlement. The rule meant for the dwarves to respect nature in all their doing, and to think of it in every decision. In so doing, Aarun would provide for their needs, so they could focus on their quest. The Dwarves were seeking enlightenment. Some epochs ago, it was said their race was profoundly linked to the light. Tales of their leadership through the ages were numerous and bold. Yet, as the eras flowed, the dwarves became complacent. And so they lost what made them guides and became citizens of the world. No more, thought Aarun. It was time for them to rise again, to see to the people he and others could never help. The An'jun tribe came to him in earnest. They built stone halls and alleyways, chambers and secrets in the mountain. When they finished their work, they settled in and began the tireless work that was chosen for them. They wrote and read about the world that surrounded them, meditated, sought to better themselves.   In time, their work bore fruit. Twenty of them where chosen, each an incarnation of an enduring trait that Alastrians would need in dire times. In the depths of Aarun, in stone chambers made for that purpose only, each of them was sealed in quartz tombs to sleep until the moment Alastra would need their guidance.   And then, the mist came.
