The Weeping God

Knowledge of this god's works before the cataclysm are all but non-existent. He is believed to have been responsible for creating the spark of life but this is only a theory and even the name he once went by is lost. When the Cataclysm hit and he saw the loss of life that came with it he began to weep and he has not stopped to this day.

The Weeping Waterfall is the result of his sorrow and the reason why Akram venerates him as the head of their pantheon. If he was to ever stop weeping the waterfall would cease and Akram would be doomed. As a result of this fact, the clergy of the Weeping God are tasked with ensuring their god must always be sorrowful and so their prayers are insults and claims of failure to save lives and claiming that he is the true cause for the cataclysm.

Once a year a grim ritual takes place in which a high ranking member of the church commits suicide and the blame is placed on the Weeping God. The clergy truly love their god and carry their tasks out with a heavy heart, knowing that their god must never be allowed to be happy lest his tears stop and the rivers run dry.
