In general, trade business in Akkadia is conducted in either the Trade District, where manufacture and sale take place, or on the Wharf, which also serves as a sprawling seaside bazaar. Within each district, smaller stores and boutiques may exist, but they generally serve a more specialized purpose unique to the district or even the city block where they are located.
Trade in imported bulk foodstuffs is the most tightly regulated, but otherwise, business in Akkadia is typically laissez-faire. Most anything that can be found on the mainland can be found in Akkadia, but depending on certain factors, it may be much more expensive.
The Black Market, as it were, runs throughout Akkadia, and unscrupulous individuals use it to procue goods usually prohibited by law or by the Code Metaphysical. Spell components, scrolls, grimoires, artifacts, weapons, potions, poisons, and more can be found, if you know the right contact.
