Yaanen'me'a

In the elf nation Dreunia, there is a temple of immense proportions built to the sun god, Sorol, and his children, the moon god, Mallithes and the god of starlight, Mitothes, called Yaanen'me'a, or Temple of Lights. The temple looks like a wide tower from the outside, adorned with gold and silver strips up and down its exterior, but once inside one sees that it is actually three individual towers surrounded by an outer wall that reaches above all three. Each tower is dedicated to one of the gods of the temple, each one decorated inside and out to honor its specific deity.

Architecture

The outer wall of the temple is made mostly of white marble, with long thin strips of gold and silver running up and down the outside. Each of the towers inside is made of different materials; the temple for Sorol is built of white marble like the outside wall, but with thin strips of gold spiraling around the outside, the temple for Mallithes is made of black marble with thin strips of silver spiraling around the outside, and the temple for Mitothes is also made of black marble but has small diamonds set in the outside to resemble stars. Sorol's temple is the tallest of the three, Mallithes' and Mitothes' temples are the same height.

History

Yaanen'me'a was built in 24 BEW by the elves that inhabited the young nation of Dreunia. Their king, Silost, ordered the temple to built so they could appease the three gods and perhaps they would be protected from the threats of the warring human nations north of them. And so it held true; as the human nations of Elligard began a war that would pull in both Duchain and Dreunia, most of Dreunia - most notably the Temple of Lights - remained untouched by the destruction.
