Mental characteristics

Personal history

McKay is from up north. He is from a fortress town commanded by his father and mother. His father was House McCarty, same as him, and his mother was House Birkeland. The fortress was raided by a bandit group led by ‘One Eyed Aug’. McKay was 7 at the time. His father was murdered in the centre of the fortress town in front of McKay who shot Aug through the eye as he fled hence the name ‘One Eyed Aug’.   McKay then went to the south where he was taken in by a tribe in the desert (which is where he earnt his outlander background). The tribe sent him out into the world on his 5th year of being with them after he had completed the trials. He turned to bounty hunting after raiding a bandit group at the age of 15. The local law enforcement arrived and paid him the bounty on the leaders head. They turned him toward the Wild Guard with whom he worked with for several years until he eventually left the organisation and his lover, Mira, wanting to do better than beating down on petty criminals.   McKay’s sole purpose is now to destroy One Eyed Aug and anyone who sympathises for his group and then re-establish the stronghold and the town within it.

Sexuality

Presumed Heterosexual

Education

He earned combat training from his father, which was improved upon in the Wild Guard.

Accomplishments & Achievements

McKay managed to shoot out Enauga Hauth's eye out, giving the Bandit his name - One Eyed Aug. He also defeated Morgul the Redslayer.

Failures & Embarrassments

He failed to save his family and keep from capture. Although he was only 7 at the time, he still considers it his failure.

Mental Trauma

Unknown, likely some psychological trauma from seeing his parents be killed.

Intellectual Characteristics

Calculating and Precise - as is needed for a Gunslinger

Morality & Philosophy

McKay cares about the little man, but believe in the end that the Law is final, leading him to be Lawful Neutral in most actions.

Social

Contacts & Relations

McKay and Mira Ironsoul once had a relationship, and although they broke it off when McKay left the Wild Guard, they still hold an amicable relationship, making Mira a strong Ally.

Family Ties

His Father and Mother, of House McCarty and Birkeland respectively, were both killed at Fort Ironstone, and they are most certainly dead; as such, McKay cares a lot about getting revenge for his family against their murderers.

Religious Views

McKay often makes fun of the Gods, suggesting he does not hold religious views.

Speech

He speaks in a rough and deep accent, which he often calls 'Texan'.
