The Dark Powers
The Dark Powers are a group of mysterious entities that seem to control Dibril Valley and the mists that encircle it. The scholar and Inquisitor Rudolph van Richten believes they may use the Countess Ravna van Roeyen as their vessel and that the secret to freeing the valley is destroying her.
The Inquisitor Ezmerelda d’Avenir believes they may be the vestiges of the Fallen; a group of celestial beings who long ago claimed dominion over the mortal world. The Fallen were ultimately defeated and the vestiges of their power imprisoned by a group of great wizards, locked away in a secret temple. She believes this temple may be the Amber Temple spoken of in stories about the Dibril Valley.
