Winking Eye Jewelers

There is a large market for stolen gems in Kratas as many Thieves are quite fond of gems due to their portability and value and the fact that they can be easily fenced. Most of the time this is done in dimly lit taverns with anonymous dealers and customers. The Winking Eye however specializes in jewels and jewelry. Here one can buy and sell loose stones or complete pieces.   The shop is laid out simply, with only one door. All other doors and windows have been bricked up, and the walls are thick. There are two guards on either side of the door at all times and only one individual is let in at a time. Two more guards stand outside, communicating with the inner guards via a small hatch in the door. Four more guards, one in each corner, keep an eye over the main salon and a clerk handles all of the transactions at a simple wooden counter.   Behind the counter is another door, leading to the workshop. Behind the workshop is the vault, a large stone room lined iwth iron. There is a single metal door with ultiple locks and traps. In the vault are numerous chests and cabinets, each one locked and trapped.   The Winking Eye is one of the biggest customers of Tinkerer's Forge in The Hammersing .   The store closes at night, but there are always guards present. Furthermore, protection money is paid to the Force of the Eye , discouraging some would-be thieves as well. This doesn't keep the neighborhood around the shop from being extremely dangerous and most muggers assume anyone in the area has a lot of gems or a lot of coin.
