Blood Spire

One of the few remaining Airships spires in Kratas stands in The Safehearths . This tower is two-hundred feet tall and tapers at the end to a small landing which used to be used by airships as a dock. The interior used to have elemental elevators, but they no longer function and the spire is no longer used as an airship dock.
The tower is considered to be cursed, and its Name comes from a legend dating back to the early days of exploration after the Scourge. According to that legend, the spire will spill great torrents of blood from its cracked summit. Though this has not been seen, there are suspicious, permanent stains on the sides of the tower. Other tales speak of ghostly airships, crewed by the undead or Horrors docking at night, only to disappear if anyone tries to investigate.
What is not a rumor, however, is that the spire gets struck by lightning whenever a thunderstorm passes over the city. Even this has a legend, that it is the displeasure of the Passions made manifest.
