Bayhorn
Desiccated, shredded wood remains of the buildings, sand-scoured stone showing foundations that stubbornly cling on. The water rises and falls with the tide, half-sunk boats mired in the bay's floor coming and going with the water level. The protected nature of the bay allows for easily accessible travel, though little else remains to draw travellers; those who do journey here are often those with no other options.
Infrastructure
Stone foundations remain, coming and going as the wind toys with the sand in the village. Some are solid, others have exposed cellar entrances choked with sand; others still have rotten, dried wood that lies hidden beneath a thin coat of sand, waiting for unwary steps to break through the door. The remains of the buildings can be scavenged or salvaged, but little remains to allude to their purpose now.
History
Originally, Bayhorn was a village which survived through fishing. Their boats used the bay and open ocean to cast lines and nets, bringing in fish, seaweed, clams and more. With the land around once farmable, the village primarily traded its excess as dried or preserved food to the inland settlements.
Geography
Primarily sodden sand, which dries out during the day into a thin crust. Arid sand regularly blows in, altering what is and isn't visible from the surface. The bay, while shallow, rapidly deepens after a dozen feet or so, which is where many of the wrecked vessels are partially submerged.
