Silken Shelf

The Silken Shelf is an island dedicated to the decadent needs of the inhabitants of The Sunken Isles, it is the most diverse of all the islands. The Silken Shelf is split into 3 sections, known locally as the Tri-Band where the wealthier you are, the closer to the centre of the Sunken Isles you can reside and dwell within, this is known as the The Inner Band . The centre band is a mix of wealthy and poor, The Mid Band . And the outer band is for the poorest folks and the red-light district of the Isles, The Rim .
The Silken Shelf is primarily known for its luxury goods, wares and services: silks, textiles, gemstones, magical enchanters and gambling dens dot the surface of the island's inner coast, it's not uncommon to see disguised wealthy patrons travelling to the The Rim  for their own desires. A magical effect on the perception of time began on the island after the First impact on Aeshothar, this was exploited by those who built their casinos and dens to keep patrons there for as long as possible.
Many shady businesses run out of The Silken Shelf, trying to swindle the ultra wealthy's coin. There are rumours of people going missing from The Rim as more nefarious groups begin setting up shop on The Silken Shelf.
