The Resurrection War is the last war in which magic is claimed to have played a significant role. It was fought more than 200 years ago, and was an attempt by several city-states to resurrect an ancient empire under their own hegemony. There was no true winner of the Resurrection War, as the destruction it wrought rendered victory meaningless.
