The Land of Nod

The Land of Nod, also known as the Wandering Lands, are a barren wasteland populated only by the nomadic tribes of Enokai. They are the only people who know the secrets of Nod, and the only ones capable of surviving its brutal, arid landscape. Nod is not home to any known civilization or settlement. The barbarian horsemen tribes of the Enokai routinely raid the civilized western lands.   Not much is known beyond the Land of Nod. Some people who have spoken with the Enokai say that to the east lies a place they call only the Burning Lands. This is a landscape harsher even than Nod, where the land itself can burn your skin. The Enokai say it is a land heavy with magic, and some Enokai tribes even say it is the place from where all magic originates.   There are rumors and legends of passages that allow safe travel through the Burning Lands, to a wet, fertile country known as the Drowned Lands, but there are no credible reports of anyone having traveled there and returned. Folklore says the Drowned Lands were once home to a great kingdom or empire before their civilization was drowned by the wrath of the gods. The fabled city of Decia is said to have been located somewhere in the Drowned Lands, as was the Colossus of Whork.
