An Unexpected Meeting

General Summary

Delaro's Demons take a few days to relax with some much needed downtime. Cassius does some investigating into the Gorria, but finds himself the butt of a joke by some locals who manage to convince him spending his time fruitlessly interviewing Rat Speaker, the town beggar. Meanwhile, Royce is accosted by other locals who want to know if he and his fellow sorcerers are responsible for the recent outbreak of laughing sickness that has decimated Freemont. Royce, Hannibal, and Akin decide to investigate the dancing lights seen in the distance, and discover a necromancer's cave.
Enna has an altogether more pleasant encounter, discovering that her friend Adrie survived the attack on their organization and is staying in Freemont. Adrie begs Enna to travel to the local ghost town of Galeston, where she believes the Gorria who attacked them are keeping at least one of the artifacts that was stolen.
The team agrees to help her, and sets off for Galeston. On the way, they discover David following them. Hannibal finally manages to convince David to investigate the Gorria back in town. Upon arriving at the edge of Galeston, the group finds a worn out sign. Most of the words are illegible, but the words "dead" and "here" can still be made out.
Enna decides to scout ahead while the others remain behind. While investigating the ruins, she is attacked and surrounded by a pack of large rats…
