Fae

Fae are a species of ancient immortal humanoids that exist in Aervos. They are an ancient race that do not age. While the Motives of the Fae are unknown, most of the recorded interactions with them claim them to be enemies with mortals, and often meddle in mortal affairs for better or for worse. They are very powerful, on par with many Deity Spirits, and extremely hard to kill. They often dislike each other as much as the Mortals, and rarely ever work together for a goal.

Origins

It is unknown to many where the Fae originated from. Many cultures have their own folklore as to where and why the Fae appeared from.

Fallen Angels

The Mathelic Theocracy claims them as fallen angels, struck down from the realm of Tamut when they attempted to overthrow him. Cast out, they swore vengeance on Tamut and his followers, And just mortals in general, and have been scheming for millennia on ways to destroy the Mortal races. This claim has been widely accepted by areas with a high following of the Mathelic Theocracy, and the followers are hyper sensitive to anything they think could be a scheme of a fallen angel. This explanation could explain why there were two Fae, who usually never unite, cooperating with the ____ in the Tamut Crusades, almost bringing Mortal life in Aervos Prime to an end.

Basic Information

Anatomy

The Fae’s true form is one rarely seen. With the ability to change forms to any sentient race, if a Fae is up to no good they are usually disguised as a different race. But their form will change automatically if put under physical or mental duress. They also change back when they want to engage in full combat. Fae in true form are large humanoid figures, around 7 feet tall. They have four arms, two coming from the middle of their elongated chest. Their forms are dark and shadowy, with patches of gold on their body. Their only distinguishable features are their gold eyes. They have four arms, two coming from the middle of their elongated chest.

Genetics and Reproduction

There is a finite amount of Fae in Aervos. That number is unknown but when a Fae dies it decreases forever

Additional Information

Perception and Sensory Capabilities

Fae have an extremely good perception, both to actual things in the physical world as to perception to magic. They can see through any illusions created.
