Bedrogua

Overview

Bedrogua is a harsh nation, consisting of an arid sea of a desert that hides the bones of a long gone empire under its surface. Nomadic Gruul Clans roam and fight across the plains to secure water, food and access to profitable ruins. The people of Bedrogua have become dungeon delvers, who sell their wares to the rest of Aerilon. Occasionally people from other nations come to Bedrogua in an attempt to find their fortune in the desert, but it is never as easy as it seems, and the clans are quick to defend their territory from the pillaging of the unworthy. No one person rules Bedrogua, but due to their proximity to Karraka, and their hatred of those that live there, there have been times in the past where they have united under a Chief of Chiefs: a Car'a'carn   Outside of the war with Karakka, the main force that drives the clans to co-operate is the management of the desert Wyrms. Devourer pits will appear at random locations across Bedrogua, attracting Wyrms who will wait for the devourer pit to 'open' at which point the wyrm will consume whatever is in there. The clans believe this is the only way that they can breed, and as the Wyrms become more prevalent across Bedrogua, more actions have been taking place in order to prevent their breeding. Only the Zhur-Taa clan of the Gruul Clans is against these measures, as they have discovered the secrets to riding the Wyrms.

A Land of Ruins

Bedrogua was clearly once a wide ranging civilization, although it can be hard to tell from the crests of a dune when all the eye can see is a sea of sand.   The inhabitants often scavenge a living looting the remnants of this lost civilisation. Many magical items make their way to the rest of Aerilon from Bedrogua, and other guilds often compete to gain favour with tribes in order to secure first preference on their finds. In this way the Gruul Clans are recognised as a ‘guild’ of sorts outside of Bedrogua. Gruul was apparently the name of the first ever Car’a’carn.

A Land of War

Years of infighting between the various Gruul Clans and against the demons of the @Karraka has honed the inhabitants into weapons of war.
