The Redgar Highlands

Once the party leaves White Tower, they will enter the Redgar Highlands. Throughout the highlands, Arc and company can find and explore many old ruins of small churches and houses. There will be lots of hidden treasures around and a few rare items. Along a pebbly road, the party will come upon a travelling merchant with whom you can buy and trade items. He will also tell you how to get to Faerda and informs you that the man you are to speak to is an old man who lives in the house at the top of the hill just outside of Faerda. The party continues through the highlands until the reach a river with a bridge. As they are crossing the bridge the party will encounter the highlands boss. A large creature moss covered creature who comes out from behind a stone outcropping. Once the party defeats the boss they can continue up a narrow, winding path towards to town of Faerda.

Geography

The Redgar Highlands are an area covering most of the clan lands on the northern central island. Although the highlands bear the name Redgar, they are controlled by more than 6 different clans, the largest territory being controlled by the Dendra clan. This rocky and mountainous area rises anywhere from 50 to 2000 meters above sea level, and has areas of densely populated forest. Spread out throughout the highlands are ruins of ancient cities, homesteads, and monuments. It is common to see broken down and abandoned cobblestone sturctures, overgrown with flora. Many clans have made their homes on the highlands and many have fought hard to keep their lands. While the weather is mostly cool, it is prone to rain often. If you know where to look, it’s not hard to find croppings of dalzenite forming.

Natural Resources

Throughout the Redgar Highlands, the stone dalzenite (sometimes known as dendranite) can be seen forming and coming out of the ground. There are currently many mining operations among the highlands and have often been a source of contention among the various clans that rule the area.
