Basic Information
Anatomy
Kaslerkin are short and stout. Their legs are broad and they have six highly articulated arms.
Genetics and Reproduction
On a 7-year cycle, Kaslerkin begin to grow a mass on their back. Over several weeks this mass forms into a fully-developed Kaslerkin unless the process is halted by cutting the mass from the back at which point the "fetus" becomes the first snack of a now-raging Kaslerkin. Nothing can sate the rage except death or two weeks in the forest slaughtering small (and sometimes large) animals.
Growth Rate & Stages
Kaslerkin are "born" full-grown. Once the new-kin detaches from its host-kin, it can fully support itself.
Dietary Needs and Habits
Kaslerkin are likely to attempt to eat anything they come across that looks fun or tasty. This often leads them to eat highly inedible items and on occasion, digest it without issue. Only a few have died from eating related illnesses or injuries.
