Third Taldoran Fleet

A terror for the merchant ships traveling the Arcadia Archipelago, the Third Taldoran Fleet has become renowned and despised amongst all decent folks. Though keeping to the Pirate's Code, there is offered little mercy or fairness to civilians or even outside pirate crews.

Structure

The Third Fleet is part of the grander Taldoran Fleet. The Third Fleet itself is lead by an Admiral, who answers to the Lord Admiral above him and the Captain's Council beneath him.
Each captain commands his own ship, but resolutions taken by the Captain's Council can at times override one's own command as well as those of the Admiral.

History

Once the mightiest fleet in existence, the Taldoran Fleet dominated the oceans and guarded the coasts. When the wrath of the gods fell on Justa, however, their glory was shattered. Without imperial coin to pay the sailors, they abandoned ship or, even worse, committed mutiny. In desperation, the remaining admirals turned first to asking for donations from passing trading ships to protect them. Then, they stopped asking.
It really didn't take that long for them to turn to piracy when all things are considered.
In the Alchemical Aeon, the Taldoran Fleet has turned into the most skilled and feared pirates, haunting the oceans across the continent.
