The first attack by The Pale Army

The earth quaked! Great rumblings filled the air, the ground shaking like a beaten drum. Snow covered trees fell, spraying their icy burdens into the air. The cloud cover withdrew, unnaturally fast, revealing a pale blue sky. Something was coming. Suddenly, a shock-wave hit their minds. Nothing physical, apart from the shaking ground, but something twisted and warped their minds. Something wrong. A great rent appeared in the sky, a tear in the fabric of reality. It bubbled frothed, fighting the world itself. And then it opened fully. An army poured out of it. A pale army, men in rigid white armor like scales, astride flying beasts with white leathery skin. The color of death.

Plot points/Scenes

This is a turning point in the story. The Council and the members of the Dreord Vix are able to defeat this mysterious pale army, but with his dying breath, the captain tells of a far greater legion, vast forces waiting to come through. This leads to the Dreord Vix ridding itself of all not militaristic intention, and is the driving force for many following plot lines. The actual battle is over rather quickly, The Council proving their might. However, some sections of the Dreord Vix are destroyed, and their are a few casualties.
