Spidersilk Armor

A Spidersilk Armor is an uncommon armor made from the treated silk of an Aranea or Drider. It is soft and very light but also surprisingly resilient. Due to its low weight, Spidersilk Armor is often favored by those with little strength.
The armor is made by a set of spider silk threads, woven to minimize the free space between them. This forms the filling of the piece, which is then lined with ordinary silk, preventing the sticky strands of spider silk from coming into contact with the skin of the wearer of the armor or the outer.

Manufacturing process

It is necessary to weave the spider silk with the sewing tools soaked in non-stick lotions, preferably at low temperature. This care prevents the wires from clinging to each other and the tooling.
