Wynto Wizards Circle

The first of the great Cullings, this occurred around 150 years after the Three arose to power. A circle of powerful wizards had gathered to try and keep alive practices that were being banished by the Three. The wizards openly defied the orders of the Three. They refused to destroy records and knowledge of forbidden magics and followed that by executing their assigned keepers. Believing that the followers of the Three would not follow the, they build a tower of magic well in to the inner plains.
They were wrong. The Three raised an army of nearly 10,000 soldiers, paladins and clerics. Marching into the inner plains, they laid siege to the wizards’ tower. For nearly 4 years the wizards fought off the forces of the Three. In the end, the wizards were unable to hold out against the relentless attacks from the holy warriors. The official stories state that nearly 3000 of the warriors of the Three were killed. But to this day, some stories claim that it was closer to 9000 dead.
