The factions settle down, and where they do so.

Chaos faction settles firmly onto an island to the south of the main continent. They are less affected by the Madness.   The Stoneskins have settled into an area with mountains on either side and dense forest to their backs. Mining seems to keep them mostly silent, so it is unlikely that an outside could perceive whether they have the Madness.   The World-shapers have taken over the northwest coast of Aegiose. They revel in the Madness and prevent anyone from entering their realm if they do not have it.   The Firesmiths have taken over a small island to the north of the main continent. They seem unaffected by the Madness, but they start to change as their diet and hard work puts them more outside in the sun than inside by the forge.   The Shield-bearers do not call any portion of Aegiose their home. They are constantly on the move, recruiting and training a new generation of protectors who seek to end the Madness   The Allegiant Knights are a faction that believes the Madness comes from the Wilds in the middle of Aegiose. They worship supreme beings that they believe control the Madness and its spread, and wish to gain its favor in order to be spared. They are at odds with the Shield-bearers.   Aetherborns have begun to split into the Mad and the True. Those who are mad are forced from one tiny settlement to another until they disappear one day. One of the last sanctuaries for the Mad is Helvatreos, the Easternmost brother city to the south. The Westernmost brother city is Helvatone, which prides itself on being True.
