Drakrest

City of Sails

Little is known of Drakrest except for what information the Dragonborn are willing to share. It is something of a novelty; the Dragonborn are notorious for building things and then moving on, as they had done with Estea, or else building temporary homes for themselves only to up and leave as the whim strikes them. Drakrest is therefore unique in that it is the only known permanent settlement built by the Dragonborn and then actually resided within.

Industry & Trade

Airships are one of Aeash’s newestmost modern innovations, and Drakrest is where they are built and repaired. Few people have ever seen the City of Sails in person, but those that have whisper of a fantastic city with advancements that might be the closest modern Aeash has come to the heights of Ethelian achievements.

Architecture

The city itself is built into cliff faces and mountain peaks, with dizzying walkways and swaying bridges providing little-to-no barrier against the long fall to the mountains below.

Geography

Located somewhere in the Hollow Heights mountain range between Uskraal and Istoria, Drakrest is incredibly difficult to reach by foot - Airships are the only practical way to get there, and getting passage aboard one is highly restricted and ludicrously expensive.
