Taern Underhill
Taern Underhill is a small settlement located about a week's journey west of Kaerlund. Taern Underhill is not, in fact, built under a hill but rather on top of one deep in the Wychwood Forest. The village is home to around 120 people, mostly wood elves. Due partially to the fact that lumber is so abundant, most buildings in Taern Underhill are made of wood logs. In fact, logging is what keeps the village alive. The village cuts and exports its lumber and woodcarvings all across Avalon. Even in the High Courts of Kaerlud, owning a carving of Underhill origin is considered something of a status symbol.
Aside from the two lumber mills and about a half dozen carpenters, Taern Underhill is home to the Wagging Targe , a pub of some fame....at least among the natives of the village. In fact, the Wagging Targe is the only pub in town, but that doesn't keep its owner, Alysha Tailears, from waxing hyperbolic about how famous the Wagging Targe is. Why, in fact, as she will tell you, the Summer King himself stopped by the pub once and spoke well of the elven ale served there.
The two lumber mills, Westgate and Oakbow, are situated at the bottom of the hill, on opposite sides. Here the Gareth River splits into two tributaries. The two lumber mills have a friendly rivalry.

Westgate Lumber Mill--Owned by a Nordland Human named Serge.
Oakbow Lumber--The other lumber mill in Taern, Oakbow has been around for at least 300 years and is currently owned by Marilon Oakbow, a wood elf.
The Wagging Targe
The Old Well--Located a day's travel outside of Taern Underhill, this old well sits in the center of an ancient graveyard. It has, as far as anyone knows, always existed. The place is considered cursed, and none dare enter the mist-shrouded confines of the iron-gated old graveyard.
Demographics
The majority of the Taern Underhill is comprised of wood elves, though two families of humans make their home here.

Run by an elected Mayor. The current mayor is Elias Strongoak
