What is basically the most "human"-like of the races oh who are we kidding these are basically humans by another name. Though of course at least half of the population is a spellcaster and has access to magick which is usually inherited by blood, though sometimes supposedly non-magickal parents will produce a magickal child due to some recessive genes. Like Horkos (Orcs) and Zwercs (Dwarves), Terreifs fall under the "Erde" genus which is generally means that they "descended from the earth" due to a creation legend that those particular three races were formed out of the dirt and stone.   Terreifs have "average" strength though this can still vary from Terreif to Terreif with some being stronger and others being weaker. No matter which country they live in they can be a rather industrious people, but also rather stubborn as well (sometimes surprisingly even more than Zwercs...). Each race has its own particular style of magick but Terreifs' own brand of magick is the one that's taught in most spellcaster institutions and is thought of as the "academic standard" (to the annoyance of some of the other races...)

Naming Traditions

Depends on which country they originate from. Virva tends to have a more "-ieth" as an ending to a name along with "-ein," "errean," etc. Chron last names tend to have "-ley," "-rin," "-es," etc. as endings. Sabrynag is pretty similar to Chron in terms of last name traditions, while Fauronos has a rather unique naming tradition in that usually a person's last name will be that person's father's first name plus the ending of "sson" or "skin" depending on what they identify as in terms of gender. For example if you're a boy whose father's name is say, "Duncan," then your last name would be "Duncansson." Or if you're a girl whose father's name is "Leonard" then your last name would be "Leonardskin." So basically, "Duncan's son" and "Leonard's kin."

Major Organizations

Máthair Guild (of which they are major players), the countries of Chron, Fauronos and Sabrynag, the Ordes Academy of Sciences and Technology, the DeCrowley royal bloodline of Chron, the Den of Lions royal bloodline of Fauronos, various guilds in Virva and Chron, and gangs and trade guilds in Sabrynag and Fauronos.

Beauty Ideals

Again depends on where they live.

Ideal beauty of Virva: Long, voluminous, curly or wavy hair, wide nose, full lips, almond-shaped blue eyes with long eyelashes, smooth skin, hourglass figure (if a woman), long legs, graceful feet and hands, smooth skin.

Ideal beauty of Chron: Long (if they're female), slightly wavy hair symmetrical, unblemished face, button nose, small lips, large black eyes, hourglass figure, graceful hands and feet.

Ideal beauty of Sabrynag: Short, wavy hair, unblemished face, long, hooked nose, small, heart-shaped lips, almond-shaped red eyes with long eyelashes, long limbs and a skinny, tall body type.

Ideal beauty of Fauronos: Long, curly, auburn hair, upturned noses, freckles, curvy, stocky and muscly bodies, and bright green eyes.

Gender Ideals

Ideal Feminine: Graceful hands and feet, large eyes with thick eyelashes, a small nose, a delicate face, long, wavy hair (with the exception of Sabrynag), and a curvy, delicate body.

Ideal Masculine: Tall with big hands and feet, steely eyes, a large nose, a muscular body, and short, cropped hair.

History

One of the other four races of earth and stone that were mulling about in ancient times when the four rebellious Faeythe races first stepped into what would later become Adir. Legends tell of how the Grand Creator molded them out of different types of clay, dirt and stone, along with the Zwercs, Horkos and Ifreets. For what purpose exactly; the answer to that has long since been lost to time.

According to common archaeological theory, the species of Terreifs originated in what would eventually become Fauronos and then migrated to the other countries.
