Threlik

Threlik are one of two main ethnic groups native to the Sella Highlands. They typically live nearby the walls of the Klila ruins and go inside in small groups to look for food and beneficial technology. As a martial culture, threlik begin training to fight and hunt at a fairly young age. Due to time spent in ruins, they have a good understanding of advanced technology. If you show a threlik a new artifact, the probably have an idea of what it does. And if they don't, they can certainly figure it out.

Naming Traditions

Unisex names

Though threlik are named at birth, they have the opportunity to pick a new name when they reach adolescence, which does not always fall within typical threlik naming conventions.   Nonetheless, here are some example threlik names:
Ilis, Kariit, Niima, Gesh, Thawi, Miiya

Family names

Threlik family names have two forms, short and long. A young threlik takes the family names of each of their parents when they reach adolescence, which is typically written as each short form connected with hyphens.   Example family names, with the short name in parentheses:
Shejiirin (Shej), Elminkarii (Elmin), Triluuyar (Triluu), Malwaslii (Malwa), Iioshan (Iosh)   Example last names based on the above family names:
Iosh-Triluu, Shej-Elmin, Malwa, Triluu-Shej-Malwa

Culture

Shared customary codes and values

Unity, family, and loyalty are extremely important in threlik culture. A member of the threlik people is generally expected to put the betterment of the group before their own. A threlik should stay loyal to all who they chose to stand beside, threlik or otherwise. Betrayal of those who rely on you is the greatest possible offense.

Mechanically, a threlik character has the following attributes:   Languages. You can speak, read, and write grand and threliy. In addition, you can read basic Sefi.
Threlik combat training. You are proficient in light armor, axes, and projectile weapons.
Mechanically minded. When you make an Intelligence check to use, identify, or recall information about Old World technology, you are considered proficient in the skill and add double your proficiency bonus to the check, instead of your normal proficiency bonus.
