Kathe
Kathe is the largest city on Strivena. It is both a cultural and economic hub, and many across The Unclaimed Lands flock here. It is renowned for the glowing pearls and gems found along the shores of Lake Terview and the beautiful, opalescent mists that cover the city at times.
Economy
Kathe's economy is largely dependent on 3 things:- Trade and local commerce - traders will import goods, or travelling merchants will bring goods into the city to sell to the locals. There are businesses who provide administration support to the local trade and farming industries as well.
- Caravans - There are people who run trade caravans to other cities, settlements, and tribes around the Unclaimed Lands and beyond.
- Tourism - being the largest (and most free) city on the continent has its advantages. Tourists flock to the city to experience its vast markets, landmarks, and of course the phenomena of the rolling, opalescent mist constantly rolling in off of Lake Terview.
Demographics
Kathe is a mecca for any and all people of Strivena. People flock to the city for many reasons, like finding a new home, escaping the tyrannical rule of The Uxorian Dynasty, searching for a simpler life than that found in The Fracian Kingdom. People here come from all over Acarri, and one would not be surprised to meet someone from a different part of the world each day.
Government
Kathe has no formal government, however many do consider it to be the unofficial capital of The Unclaimed Lands given its size and location. Decisions about the city, are typically left to the marquis, of which there are 8 who tend to represent a district's interests. Whenever a decision cannot be made by the group, they will go to the arch-mage Fenian Ultaris (who resides in his tower just to the north of the shimmering docks), to pass judgment for the betterment of the city.
