Aldrefield
Centrally located in the Uxorian Dynasty near the southern borders of the Alabaster Wood, Aldrefield is a large town known primarily for its lumber production. It is still a relatively small town when compared to others under Dynasty rule, but it sees much traffic because of its location along major trade routes between The Uxorian capital city of Anerith, the Fracian Kingdom, and the Western coast of Strivena. It is a common resting point for messengers and travellers of all sorts during their respective journeys. Here, several local companies vie for control of the local logging industry…
Robertson Industries, a conglomerate that spans most of the Uxorian Dynasty and parts of the Fracian Kingdom, controls most of the production in town and employs most of the workforce. While large, the company has been working with the local elven population in the Alabaster Wood to work towards more sustainable forestry, ensuring they help the elves to replant lots which are cut down. The Bennet Company is a family-run logging business, currently run by Alistair Bennett who is nearing retirement. He is rumoured to be grooming his two sons to take over the business. Gibson Logging is a newer company, owned and operated by Minnie Gibson. Being the newest company, Gibson Logging's operations are small. Recently, they have been plagued by a series of attacks, the source of which is a mystery.
The companies all source their workforce from the local chapters of the Loggers Guild and the Woodworkers Guild. In the weeks and months leading up to the Autumn of the 1091st year of the Age of Discovery, many of the town's population, some 4,900 people (primarily human), have become frightened and nervous about recent events. Since many of these townsfolk belong to one of the two guilds, lumber production for the Uxorian Dynasty has waned (Aldrefield makes up for approximately 30% of the Dynasty's production, given its central location). Recently, the three companies have each struggled with lumber production due to a series of attacks and increased presence of undead creatures wandering the forest seemingly without a source.
