On Miracles

Miracles in reference to magic refers to copied or synthetic miracles. Many religious groups and cults around the planet have access to certain stable enchantments. These enchantments are often placed on artifacts, statues, tower bells, pieces of monolithic architecture, or sometimes even entire buildings. These enchantments allow non-mages access to magical powers. When someone gets ritually linked to one of these enchantments, they can now invoke the magic within it as if it were their own magic. The invocation takes time though, the spell itself must travel from the enchantment to the location of the user. This means that invokers cast magic very differently from regular mages, since a regular mage can just cast magic instantly.
