Trislyc

The trislyc is a legendary creature in Ecleinian mythology. It is supposedly a black, humanoid mass with a pure white face which enjoys breaking into people's' houses, consuming their food and drink, and drinking (clean) toilet water.   The trislyc itself is relatively new in Ecleinian folklore. It was first noted by a Therinsburgian butcher, Erra Fletch, who came into her shop one day to find a "large, jet-black creature with a pale face" devouring her sausages. Fletch chased the creature off, but not before it stole a quart of beer. Fletch's wife, the forester Molopa Zanuski, nicknamed the creature "trislan lycicu", an affectionate way of saying the Northern Ecleinian phrase "triaslanuo ylycicunanz", meaning 'thirsty demon'. The name was eventually shortened to 'trislyc', and sighting have plagued Ecleinian for centuries. Candfourth, Caworn, and Therinsburg were the homes to many of the sightings. After King Theodorick Sowager introduced his New Plumbing Model by installing it in the Ecleinian Royal Palace in 1799, reports began coming in that the trislyc enjoyed drinking clean toilet water. This was evidenced when Theodorick himself supposedly saw the creature late one night drinking out of his commode; he proceeded to chase it off, but not before it stole a silver candlestick, a sirloin steak, and a bottle of white wine. The candlestick was eventually found in a bathtub, but the wine and meat never reappeared.   The trislyc has since gained a cult following. Various legends abound about its origins, and numerous evidence exists of it. The trislyc was also popular with the Ecleinian people during the 1860s, when the Ecleinian people would protest against corporations by breaking into the homes of corporate officers and eating everything in their homes; these activists called themselves Trislycians. The trislyc seems to be unable to be contained, although it seems to dislike plain mozzarella cheese and limes.
