Kelthshaw Academy

Kelthshaw Academy is a specialized school for Ecleinian children aged 12-18 who score 990 points or higher on their Post-Primary Schooling Selection Examination (PPSSE, colloquially known as the Exam), the test that determines the school Ecleinian children are assigned to for their secondary education. As the highest score one can get on the Exam is 1000, Kelthshaw is seen as the best school in the Ecleinian nation. It has a long history of producing graduates that go on to great success.   The proposal for Kelthshaw was written in a letter to the Queen of Ecleinia Lilac Sowager in 7 AU (years After Ecleinian Unification) from the thinker Dernth Kelthshaw as a follow-up to his book National Education: The Methods for the Education of Ecleinia, in which he laid out a basis for the nascent national educational program. In this letter, Kelthshaw argued for a school "for the brightest and best pupils of the Ecleinian nation, where they have access to the highest of resources so that they might pursue education as a means for personal success" and laid out a detailed plan about how one might accomplish this. Lilac was convinced, and she issued a royal decree in which she gave Kelthshaw funding, land, and appointed him Headmaster of this school, and also named him the Head of Education on her High Council (the Headmaster of Kelthshaw Academy is always the Head of Education, this was initially clarified in a royal guarantee by King Jon V, Lilac's grandson, until 1128 AU, when the newly formed Parliament of Ecleinia made it official in the nation's constitution).   The Academy itself is located on top of Mount Delcas in Caworn, and has been expanded greatly since its founding. The oldest building on the campus is the Administration Building. The campus is built around a core of various buildings which hold classes. Natural areas surround this, and housing is available (and required) for students (students, from years 1-3 will be in an assigned dorm, and from years 4-7, they live in a campus apartment with up to 6 other people).
