Taron Dratchkin

In the early days, the Dratchkin were born upon the Odrion mountains at the Worlds Heart. Looked down upon by their Dragon Elders they felt shamed by their small size and weakness, and so fled to the mainlands. Old tales tell of how these early Dratchkin were divided in how they should live; some believed that they should roam the lands like the beasts and live out their days as masters of the fields just as their Dragon Elders ruled the skies. Others disagreed, believing that the dangers of the world above were too great and that the dark womb of the world that birthed them would protect them still in the natural caves and tunnels that existed throughout the mountains. In the end, they separated, with many going out among the light and fields and many more deep into the Izalia Mountains. There they made their living, making dens amongst the earth and stone, digging tunnels ever deeper into the world, only venturing out into the world above when needed. Their homes were dirt and stone and the metals most common there. They grew tougher and stronger beneath the stones, forging for themselves a life in the dark, though many still held hope in the light to guide them. Their food was the roots of the plants above and the mushrooms that grew below, whatever creatures that scurried in the dark too fell prey to their survival.

Common Dress code

Tough cloth and/or leather wear on the arms and legs leaving the palms and feet free, also light wear around the body is common when below ground. Darker colors and blacks are preferred.

Male Taron Dratchkin are more likely to venture above ground than females, though females are considered better in dealing with inter-tribal situations.
