The Autumn Court (London)
When Mattie the Maggot returned from her search for Autumn, she came with the season's crown upon her brow and a collection of tomes tucked under her arm. She spoke rarely from then on, but the few words of wisdom she would spare and the knowledge found within those tomes, have guided the Court through many a storm.
Now-a-days the Autumn Court bears close ties to Academia, even if a good percentage of London's changelings lack the legal identity required to properly enroll. The court's members compile archives of information, send teams into the Hedge searching for strange tokens, and interview ghosts and stranger things.
Structure
Much like the other courts, the Queen of Autumn holds final say over all of the group's decisions, appointing Knights and other titles in order to assign tasks as she sees fit. The respect of one's peers, and thus progression from a mere courtier to an archivist, knight or something else, tends to stem from acquisition of knowledge.
Public Agenda
We fear the unknown because we do not understand it. To surpass that fear, then, we must come to understand it. The Autumn Court focuses the bulk of their efforts towards the acquisition of knowledge in this regard, and they compile information on everything from Fae and the Wyrd to ironside monstrosities.
At the same time, they are the Court of Fear as well and so the Autumn Court uses their knowledge of terror in a variety of ways. They terrorize the Fae creatures of the Hedge, and they inspire awe in the mortals of London. More than a few local urban legends can in fact be traced to an Autumn Courtier, who has more commonly inspired the legend to harvest glamour but, occasionally, done so in order to scare people away from something dangerous.
Celebrations
The Witch's Sabbath
A small, utterly silent midnight market intended to celebrate the Court's founding in an entirely bizarre way.All Hallow's Eve
A day of unbridled terror followed by a grand ball and party, intended to celebrate Autumn's greatest of holidays.Assets
Artifacts and strange lore make the bulk of Autumn's stores, but they have a number of ties to London's vivid theater scene. The terror they inspire isn't solely accomplished through contracts, after all, but by good old makeup and practical effects.
