Anatomy

Alargons are a race of humanoid reptiles. Alargon can range greatly in their physical characteristics such as with their scales (coloration, size, and paterns), snout (size and shape), tail (length, and thinkness), eyes, claws, claw size, frills, spines, etc. Much of the physical characteristics will be dependent on the parents genes as well as the Alargon's environment / home region.   Arid / Deserts: Lighter (usually brown) colorations, shorter tails, matte scales, minimal scale patterns, minimal spines, some frills   Water based: Dark colorations, longer tails, shiny scales, minimal scale patterns, some spines, some frills   Jungle / Wetland (Land based) / Forests: Darker (usually green) colorations, mid-long tails, some scale patterns, some spines, some frills

Growth Rate & Stages

Alargon live around 100-175 years. 5 stages of life: 0-9 baby, 10-19 child, 20-49 young adult, 50-124 adult, 125+ elder.

Ecology and Habitats

Alargon can survive in most warm climates as long as they have food.

Social Structure

Alargon usually form groups or tribes under the leadership / control of a Queen or a Priest. Alargon tribes will usually center around protecting / serving the Queen or following the Priest / worshiping the tribe's god or goddess. Alargon are very religious and will serve their deity, to death if need be. One tribe usually will not share much social structure with other Alargon tribes. Male Alargon are generally the workers and warriors of the tribes while the females tend to the homes and deal with any political issues. Female Alargon make up the majority of the poitical leaders in the tribes but their are also the male military leaders who have equal footing in the hierarchy (under the Queen / Priest). Alargon are more primitive / savage than most other sapient races in Ümbria but their dedication to their queen or deity allows them to stay on par with the other races through loyalty and sheer determination. Most Alargon are are very careful when dealling the other races of Ümbria but many tribes (usually due to direction from their queen / priest) have integrated into other civilized communities.

Alargon can range greatly in their physical characteristics such as with their scales (coloration, size, and paterns), snout (size and shape), tail (length, and thinkness), eyes, claws, claw size, frills, spines, etc. Much of the physical characteristics will be dependent on the parents genes as well as the Alargon's environment / home region. Some of the most common colors include green (differing shades), brown, black, and grey. Some of the most common markings are stripes and spots.
