Geauker
Demographics
Approximately two dozen or so families made up the peak population of the hamlet, a diverse mix of people primarily humans and tabaxi.
Government
As a small hamlet the town didn't really have much of a formal local government structure. They were essentially run by the town elders, though they did their best to be compliant to whichever core society's government happened to be claiming ownership of their territory that month.
Industry & Trade
A small farming hamlet, they didn't see much in terms of trade or exports. Though they sat on a border where you'd think they'd see a boon from inter-society trade routes the contested nature of the border in their territory drove those merchant routes to circumvent the area for routes through more stable regions.
History
Due to its status as contested land Geauker traded hands a few times, seeing itself damaged and rebuilt time and time again when disputes arose. At one point three societies were in the mix seeing an adjacent aquatic village annexed into Geauker's incorporated area, this was the first time the small hamlet would see itself destroyed and rebuilt by its new governing society.
Tourism
There are some unofficial exploration groups that go on, exploring what remains of the twice lost settlement, but no approved or endorsed sort of of tourism goes on there. You're not going to find a gift shop on the outskirts of the hamlet.
Architecture
Due to the recurring conflicts the architecture of Geauker is a hodgepodge of styles influenced by who funded the reconstruction, when they were doing it and what they were replacing though as a small farming village the variety wasn't overly dramatic just readily apparent as one passed through.
Geography
Far to the north of Reedan, and Unipea's central territory this settlement sat in contested land along the borders of two core societies in the region.
Natural Resources
The value in Geauker's location was not the resources of the land but rather the location. Its relative proximity to a major capital made it extremely valuable to rival nations as a foothold should major conflict ensue, this made it valuable in turn as land to hold in a defensive strategy. The potential of the land to actually sustain a significant town was actually quite low which is way the land was eventually abandoned to nature and left unoccupied as the border disputes continued unabated.
