Alpha Kraken

The kraken is the dominant presence on the bottom of Theamuspar's vast oceans. A consistent threat to the people of Busea, as they control their territory with an ironfisted tentacle. The kraken uses its massive reach and imposing size to ensnare their prey with impunity. Kraken's are largely defensive creatures happy to establish their lairs live a quiet life at the peak of the food chain, they will only go on the full offensive when they feel truly threatened by invaders to their hunting grounds.
Alpha krakens on the other hand are migratory, traveling from place to place to hijack the territory of other krakens and dominate potential mating partners. Alpha krakens will absolutely ruin your day, highly aggressive and extremely ill tempered as they're known to even go so far as to dine on insolent krakens who aren't willing to 'bow' to the alpha's control.

Ecology and Habitats

While it can surface when provoked, the kraken prefers to reside in the deepest seas, making them primarily a threat within the aquatic society Busea. The surface societies rarely have to contend with this imposing beast.

Dietary Needs and Habits

Carnivorous, with a healthy appetite the krakens consume other huge and gargantuan sea creatures. When such prey is in short supply they'll reach down to pockets of large, and medium creatures to make up the difference. This is how Busea sometimes finds its citizens on the menu.

Geographic Origin and Distribution

Krakens will lay claim to a 6 mile radius sphere of ocean, spreading themselves out to at least attempt to avoid direct competition and the need to fight over resources.
