Glendale Asylum

A hospital in Bradstowe abandoned after The Rupture and rumoured to be haunted.

The ruins of the Glendale Asylum haunt the Westbank District of Bradstowe in The Isles of Orlend. Once a renowned active psychiatric hospital for the capital of the isles, Glendale fell into disrepair after the impact of The Rupture completely collapsed the west wing of the building.   The asylum had operated for 172 years after it's construction in 342 2A. Many lives were lost during the tragic events of the Rupture (often referred to as The Apocalypse) that took place across the entire world of Melior on Thirday, 10th of Darkfall 514 2A. It was a catastrophic and unforeseen event that wrought havoc upon the world, plunging it into complete and utter chaos on an unfathomable scale.   Resources were spread too thinly between rescue efforts and defence against an other-worldly invasion to spare aid for the patients.   The abandoned hospital now sits in eerie silence as the ghosts and echoing screams linger in its hallways. Residents of Bradstowe fear the building and avoid visiting the neighbourhoods in Westbank even though fifty years have passed.
Glendale Asylum. Everyone knows it's haunted. No looter has made it out of there with their sanity still intact. Reckon a bunch of the patients escaped and are out there somewhere still living. Watching.   Gives me the fucking creeps.

Strange lights have been seen in the broken windows of its once elegant architecture. Its shadows dance in erratic patterns if you're foolish enough to stare.

'course you know they used to do 'em goddawful experiments in'ere don't you?   Reckon some folks weren't actually insane when they went in there, but what they done to 'em - well. They couldn't ever leave.

Well...I know where I wont be visiting for summer vacation. Or ever. Seriously gave me the creeps, especially with the music attached. Should not have read that while sitting alone. In the dark. In the middle of the night.

You should check out the The 5 Shudake, if you want of course.

Are you sure you were really alone? . . .

No thank you, I don't want to go anywhere near that place. Yikes. I can't blame people for not rescuing the patients during the Rupture, but I'm not surprised there might be some unquiet spirits there because of it.
