Long-nosed Ringtail Snake by TJ Trewin
Long-nosed ringtails are a common species of snake native to Zendu and are incredibly dangerous when agitated. Named for their distinctive physical features, they have a long head and snout and have bright red danger no-no rings down the length of its body.   Their scales are typically dark grey to dark blue in colouration and they have a light grey underbelly. Long-nosed ringtails have quite a stocky body shape in comparison to other noodle-like species - they are usually between 8-12 feet long but have been known to grow much, much larger.   This species of snake uses toxic type magic to hunt and defend itself, which it can inject with its sharp fangs or spray from a gland in its tail. They are ambush predators that hunt large mammals, which can be problematic when they get close to herds of livestock or poultry coops in local farms - the effects of its venom can inflict severe magic-fatigue to folks trying to defend their animals and it can even be fatal if not treated within a few hours.
