Jonok Neihul (a.k.a. Jon)
Relationships
History
Mion first met Jon in the late summer of 1209, age 110. They were in their second year of college. Jon — age 50 — was a wandering bard from “the mainland” who had come through campus in search of stories. He was Mion’s first real crush and they pursued him shyly at first. When the affection appeared reciprocated, Mion ceased all notion of shyness and Jon seemed happy enough to be the object of their affection. Sometime over the next year, Mion introduced Jon to their parents — Eld'rhistel and Aimar Gi'ila — who disapproved of the relationship. Jon and Mion continued the relationship in secret until the summer of 1210 when Mion discovered they were pregnant. Mion dropped out of college and eloped with Jon in early winter of 1210. They gave birth alone to their only child, Ridan Venmila Neihul'ila, on the 5th of Ruquem, 1211 during a blizzard. Over the next 12 years, tensions began to mount in the marriage. Mion, then age 122, worked a taxing job and depended on Jon for childcare. Jon, then age 62, in turn depended on Mion for financial stability. Despite their growing incompatibility, they continued to try to work past their differences. It finally reached a breaking point and Mion left with Ridan in the autumn of 1223. Mion and Jon never spoke again after they separated.
