Mosasaur and It's Uses

Mosasaur – this is an armored dinosaur which is able to swim. It has a tough outer shell which makes it very steadfast and it is adapted to be able to slip in and out of icy waters with ease. It can easy survive harsh blizzards and winters, although it prefers to be warm inside with it’s owners. It’s kind of like an enormous husky. The owner of a mosasaur will usually have a tank exoskeleton build around the mosasaur built so it can both protect the animal and hunt for prey. The prey is usually sea prey as there is little worth hunting on the ice shelfs that isn’t gigantic enough to eat the mosasaur.
The tank exoskeleton is equipped with a cockpit and a set of blasters and lazer whips such that if the mosasaur meets a predator that it can just stick it’s arms and legs inside of it’s shell and be inconspicuous as the tank can activate arms and legs and the mosasaur is safe inside while the predator is deflected with the array of weapons that the owner has at its disposal. The money available as well as the relationships with aboveworlders can make a more valuable tank for the usually native shuttler of the mosasaur. This meaning, people who are closer to the rim dwellers usually have more upgraded technology and can offer deeper dives and better catches than a more primitive guide who just has the hand me down technology or salvage technology of that they can find.
Sometimes these ships are outfitted as pleasure cruisers for the rich upper class folk of the rim when they want to come down and play primitive. They want a chance at the native side. These are usually business types or people out on their honeymoon as such these types of trips can make good trophies to display in the above world that they can also conquer the primitive ways. Certain animals are sacred to the people so they are protected by the local government and these types of trips are not allowed to be purchases or a fine and jail time is given.
