On January 23rd, 2733, Marquess James Belmont of Alpha Centauri II was arrested by revolutionaries, tried for corruption in a kangaroo court, and convicted within the hour. He was executed two days later by hanging.
This event sparked a war within the galaxy that grew to envelop multiple megacorporations, three key factions of elves, and the typically-neutral Iehuca. This last party famously sided as a monolithic people with the revolutionary government, the Republic of Alpha Centauri.
