Structure

Rudi is directed almost entirely by its current CEO, Friendship. It has numerous subsidiaries, including the very prominent Rudi Biotech, which is nearly large enough on its own to be considered a megacorporation.

Public Agenda

Rudi serves not only clients and investors, but also communities. Its public works wing invests especially in education: for example, in schools on low-population density planetoids, asteroids, and stations.

Assets

Rudi has a presence on nearly all inhabited Milky Way worlds, and is the third largest megacorporation in the galaxy, after Staedt-Gregorivich and NGE.

History

Rudi Interstellar has its humble origins in pharmaceutical generics manufacturing. They did not form their own R&D line until 30 years after their founding, after the first CEO retired. Even then, the company's focus remained exclusively on healthcare, pharmaceuticals, and medical devices. Rudi wouldn't branch out to consumer devices for another two decades.

Rudi developed the Rudi Calvary "Cleric" as a natural extension of their healthcare and generics-minded approach. Able to take on a wide array of roles thanks to its modular nature and an extremely accessible API, the Calvary exosuit became wildly popular in civilian, mercenary, and military applications. This led to numerous illegal knockoffs, especially and most famously by Hasedar Forgeworks. In a stunning court decision, Hasedar successfully defended itself in court and earned rights to their own exosuit, the XR-900. This was a heavy blow to Rudi, and its repercussions are still felt today.
