Sublight Travel Engines

Engines floating around the galaxy that small shuttles or vessels use to travel within galaxies. They act as relay points or boosters that give vessels the necessary boost to travel from planet to planet in an exponentially shorter time. The Union started the launch of these STEs in the New Year of 2506, as they believed that these engines will speed up the discovery of more habitable planets that mankind can colonize or utilize.

Utility

STEs are used for travel within the galaxy in a short period. In comparison with a regular ship traveling, it is exponentially faster.

Manufacturing

Manufacturing of these engines was spearheaded by the Infrastructure and Technology Sector (ITS), along with thousands of engineers and millions of workers who dedicated their time to complete the first batch and those that followed eventually after.

Access & Availability

These engines are being monitored and guarded by a designated space station deployed nearby. Anyone who would want to use STEs would have first to be given access by the designated space station.
