The estimated time when the Berini started producing iron and steel.

In the 7th century B.B, an exploring trade ship from Lefan made it's way a few kilometers up the Berinus where it was attacked and crashed on one of the banks. The passengers who couldn't return home joined one of the local Berini tribes. One of the things they passed on was basic iron and steel technology (there was a blacksmith's apprentice onboard). The technology spread completely throughout the region by 89 B.B, but it didn't replace Bronze completely and become mainstream until the Early first century A.B. We know the technology reached Berin at around 595 B.B and that they lead the completion of the transition from bronze to iron and steel because Mario I favored them a lot over Bronze and used this technological edge to to expand his empire.
