Gurbaz

Gurbaz is located on the southwestern tip of the Amman Wedge. Gurbaz is the seat of power of the Gurbazi kings and is the residence of the city-state the Kingdom of Gurbaz. The city is huge and sprawls over a very large area and is divided by many great walls. It's many harbors, located on the coast of the Hu-Balai and on the northern bank of the Blue Amman, see hundreds of trade and passenger ships and ferries every day and house the massive navy. Gurbaz was raised to the ground around 30 times before it rose to power in the 4th century B.B and stayed a major player in local politics until it fell from power in the early 3rd century A.B to rise to power again in the 7th century A.B to keep it until the 12th century A.B. In total, Gurbaz rose to dominace and great power with it's own vassals and full sovereignty 37 times. For most of these times it was a lesser power that dominated the Amman Wedge rather than a major power that ruled the seas along with many rivers.
Gurbaz was always known for it's strategic location which allowed it to profit from trade and tolls and prevent certain ships from going through. Due to this, Gurbaz was a vassal to many foreign kings in it's early days and in it's later days. If you're a human, you'll have legal protection from death, but this isn't guaranteed if you're a local as manderthals and humans see each other as inferior and a hungry homeless and broke citizen in Gurbaz will eat a human to quell his hunger.
