I have not had this issue in a while but for the last week or so, certain articles are not able to be edited. It seems like the articles that do load have less connections (locations, ruler, parent locations, things in the sidebar) but when I try to load an article that I know has more than 7 or 8 things in the sidebar, the edit button leads to an eventual time out. Sometimes I get a 500 error, sometimes I get a cloudfare error that WA can't handle the request. One article that I am noticing it on even after trying to get it to load all morning is https://www.worldanvil.com/w/galfin-bambam57/a/the-incantum-forest-article?preview=true? Let me know if I can clarify the issue.
Try to edit certain articles in my world of Galfin. I have not been tracking exactly which articles over the last week or so but I can add to this report as I find the articles in particular that will not let me edit them. This world used to have issues that Gorkam was able to solve, in case that helps.
Hey Bambam57 - just to clarify are you talking about not loading to edit or to view? Viewing took 80ms for me.
Hey Dimitris, Not loading to edit, I have not had an issue with viewing articles.
To expand on this issue, the problem has expanded to editing most articles. Even new, unconnected articles are timing out when I try to edit. Most of the time I get an http 500 error, and after enough times trying to refresh the page, which rarely does result in the edit article page working normally, I sometimes get a cloudfare error. After the cloudfare page, I have to fully close my browser to access World Anvil in any capacity.
Please message me on DIscord - I would like to have a look into your account.
Sounds good, I sent you a DM
Just an update on this - We are currently investigating this actively - This issue only affects worlds with more than 8000+ Articles.
Sorry for the duplicate, I'll post here instead!
Could this be related to https://www.worldanvil.com/udan-tracker/9c602d5d-df1e-4765-97d8-b1c4b2b39490/view I was having this issue prior to topping the 8,000 article mark and losing the ability to edit articles.
Absolutely - this is not an over the edge issue - the more articles you have the worse it becomes. It just happens that all 3 users that have reported it have 8000+ articles so it looks like a breaking point.
I am very happy to announce that some early morning focused work helped me to solve this swiftly. You should all be back on track - let me know if you are having any other issues.
yessss problem solved!!!
Yes all seems to be working, thanks Dimi!
