After scrolling on a whiteboard so images that have been added to it are no longer in frame, scrolling back or clicking the "Back to Content" button shows that the images have been resized, moved, or deleted entirely. Hitting ctrl+z enough times does seem to bring the images back and eventually will get them back to the correct size. There does seem to be some interaction with how much the images are adjusted or removed entirely based on if the whiteboard is still "Saving" when scrolling back vs. waiting until it is fully saved, but this isn't consistent as far as I can tell. Waiting until it's fully saved does not prevent the issue. After adding:
After scrolling so the images are out of frame then back into frame: After scrolling so the images are out of frame then back in frame 2:Add image(s) to whiteboard Scroll so the images are no longer in frame on the whiteboard Scroll back to where the images are or click the "Back To Content" button
As a note as well, the images are not simply hidden behind the articles. Moving the articles around or sending them to the back does not display the images so it isn't a layering issue. Only Ctrl+Z brings the images back
When you refresh the page, do the images re-appear until you scroll away again?
This is related to the same bug as the Article Covers not showing on Whiteboard Article blocks. When a block is scrolled offscreen, it is unloaded to prevent performance issues, and gets re-added when you scroll back in, but due to the underlying issue, the image fails to load back in (or the size calculation difference is re-calculated from the already adjusted size). There may be another layer to this, but I will need to test once the fix for the other bug is deployed (because that may or may not automatically resolve the issue).
Will continue to investigate next week when the fix for the other issue is deployed.
Xuroth, again apologies for not seeing your comments here. Do you need anything else from me for this issue since it's related to the other one?
Hi Xuroth, just putting a note here as well that this issue is still occurring. Here is the whiteboard: https://www.worldanvil.com/world/whiteboard/54c65b33-d1d9-41b7-950b-a2b7e8b761dc
I will investigate further. It seems there is more going on here than meets the eye.
Hello there,
currently the whiteboards feature is under maintenance. Previously created whiteboards can still be used in your content by pasting the BBCode for them. Changes to whiteboards cannot currently be saved but our team is working hard to fix this and bring the feature back online!
